I have just been looking up S. Herdamn as I have 2 watercolours by him of Everton Brow and one I thought was by him of the Old Fallow Mill,London Road in 1733 but that date would not be possible for him unless he copiedit. The two of Everton Brow are signed the the Old Fallow mill is not. I am trying to track down where on London Road the mill was and when it was pulled down. Regards, Roland.

Hi Nick,
I certainly would like to see the watercolour. I know WG Herdman painted it in the mid 19th century – so it would be very interesting to see your painting.

I bought a quantity of pictures yesterday and amongst them is a great watercolour showing the above scene, but much more ( sheep and tower on the green, pub on next corner efc, image size 12″ x 23″. I would be very happy to send you a copy if you are interested. Regards, Nick.
